Acoustics 

With an emphasis on sound absorption, our acoustic panels play a major role in creating an environment that offers maximum privacy and comfort. Knauf’s wide range of sound absorption products are built with Mars ClimaPlus™ technology for higher sound absorption and effective reverberation (echo) control. For movie theatres, we recommend our Olympus Max panels. Built with ClimaPlus™ Performance, these panels have a non-directional pattern that reduces installation time and waste and utilise a substrate of water-felted mineral fibre with a High Recycled Content (HCR), improving both sustainability and premium sound absorption.  

Impact Resistance 

Commercial spaces require adaptable impact-resistant materials as they can be susceptible to high traffic, which increases the risk of wall damage. As a solution, Knauf offers a range of lining products equipped with various levels of impact resistance. For instance, our Knauf Impactwall has been specifically designed for severe duty resistance in high traffic areas like hospital corridors. Meanwhile, our Fiberock® Aqua-Tough™ is a paperless gypsum board with cellulose fibre reinforcement that is also effective against hard body and glancing impact. 

Mould Resistance 

Our Fiberock® Aqua-Tough™ Interior Panels offer mould, impact, and moisture resistance properties, which is vital for hygiene purposes. These panels are high-performance products that resist moisture, mould, and fire as well as dents and penetration. Its Aqua-Tough™ formulation provides an improved moisture resistance, which is an alternative to concrete block and plaster constructions. With a top mark of 10 when tested according to ASTM D3273, this product range is suitable for wet areas like kitchens or toilets.
