As buildings become more energy efficient, operational carbon emissions will reduce. Now, attention is turning to embodied carbon - the emissions released in producing a building, from things like raw materials, manufacturing and transportation. ECOSE® has a lower carbon footprint than traditional binders because it's predominantly plant-based and is made from rapidly renewable sources. This in turn reduces the embodied carbon of the products that use it and the buildings they go into. It's a small but important part of delivering lower carbon buildings fit for the future.

Breathe the difference. Exposure to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from construction products can pose a serious health risk - for both installers and building occupiers. Some countries have made managing VOC emissions mandatory, and others are increasingly setting their own voluntary standards. Products made with ECOSE® are low-VOC, helping you improve the indoor air quality of your buildings - something which is recognised by green building rating schemes. Products featuring ECOSE® are free from chemicals known to pose serious health risks on the DECLARE 'Red List' and were the first to be awarded the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification, the highest possible standard.

Employers have a duty of care to installers, but the chemicals found in some insulation products, along with the dust they produce, can be detrimental to their health, wellbeing and comfort. ECOSE® improves the installer experience. As well as being low-VOC and DECLARE 'Red List Free', products made with ECOSE® also generate low levels of dust.
