Knauf Insulation Launches Earthwool® Metal Roofing Range in Thailand
Knauf Insulation APAC is thrilled to announce that our range of high-performing glass mineral wool insulation solutions are now available for specification across Thailand, following an agreement with local distribution company Mineral Wool (Thailand).
The collaboration will see Mineral Wool become the sole authorised supplier of the Earthwool® Metal Roofing Roll range, delivering the ultimate innovation in thermal and acoustic insulation solutions to Thai buildings for the first time.
The announcement was celebrated at an event in Bangkok, where our Technical Director Stephen Smith and Application and Systems Development Manager Alireza Javaheri introduced representatives from the Thai construction industry to our glass mineral wool insulation.
Designed to provide top exceptional performance for roofs in profiled metal clad buildings, the Earthwool® Metal Roofing Roll range is available in both ‘faced’ and ‘unfaced’ specification. The faced product has been designed uniquely for application in Thailand’s tropical climate, equipped with a 97% reflective aluminium foil facing to reflect significant amounts of visible light. This helps to reduce the amount of heat entering through the top of the building, providing optimal thermal comfort and reducing energy consumption. As temperatures rise across the globe, this layer of insulation can help to protect buildings, keeping them cooler for longer and supporting climate resilience.
The Earthwool® range is manufactured with Knauf Insulation’s leading technology, including ECOSE®, a revolutionary plant-based binder that contains no added formaldehyde, and TwinTech®, a dual forming technique that delivers a smooth finish on both sides of the insulation. This provides a soft, natural brown, odorless product that generates low levels of dust, making it better for installers and building occupants.
