Knauf Academy Grand Opening Ceremony

On the morning of April 4, 2023, the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Knauf Academy Vietnam Training Center was successfully held at Knauf's southern plant located in the Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City. The Knauf Academy is a project invested in by the Knauf Group and co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. This is also the first training center in the lightweight construction materials industry with the mission of enhancing the skills and expertise of contractors and installers, as well as providing a qualified workforce for the Vietnamese construction sector.

The Knauf Group aims to be a leader in designing safe, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable living spaces. To achieve this mission, Knauf's responsibility extends beyond simply providing high-quality products and solutions; it also encompasses improving the communities where Knauf's plants operate. This is the core foundation for the establishment of the Knauf Academy project.

Knauf Academy Vietnam is the first training center in Vietnam to pioneer the design and implementation of training programs ranging from basic to advanced levels. Its goal is to provide a skilled workforce for the gypsum board industry in general and the lightweight construction materials sector in particular. Knauf Academy establishes a formal learning system, thereby cultivating a more competent and skilled labor force, contributing to the enhanced quality and aesthetics of construction projects.

Speaking at the Grand Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Sang, General Director of Knauf Vietnam, shared: “With systematic training at the Knauf Academy, graduates will expand their job opportunities, enhance their professional reputation, and develop their careers in the future. For society, Knauf hopes that the Academy will annually train thousands of qualified workers for the industry, contributing to the establishment of new standards in construction that will make project execution more efficient, modern, and sustainable.”
