About the Knauf Academy Training Institute

With the goal of becoming a leading training center for lightweight construction material solutions, Knauf Academy Vietnam, in addition to focusing on new construction and design solutions, implements training programs centered on high value and expertise. This is aimed at providing a substantial workforce to meet the demands of gypsum board industry in particular and lightweight construction materials sector in general.

A Brief Overview of the Knauf Academy Vietnam Training Center

Knauf Academy is a project invested in by the Knauf Group and co-financed by DEG from the public funds of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Located within Knauf Vietnam's southern plant, the Knauf Academy is situated at Lot B3A, Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Academy is divided into five main areas, ranging from theoretical classrooms to practical training workshops. Knauf Academy Vietnam is a pioneer in designing and implementing training programs from basic to advanced levels, providing both local and international expertise to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and installation methods that contribute to enhancing the quality of construction projects.

THEORETICAL CLASSROOM

Equipped with modern facilities and visual samples of gypsum ceiling and drywall systems, participants will gain foundational knowledge about the products, solutions, and the application of each solution in various spaces and projects.

Participants will be guided to enroll in courses ranging from basic to advanced levels, tailored to their individual skill levels.

PRACTICAL TRAINING WORKSHOP

Safety is paramount. To protect the health and safety of participants, the practical training workshop is fully equipped with professional personal protective equipment.

Through hands-on installation of gypsum ceilings and drywalls, from basic to advanced techniques, participants will progressively refine their skills, understand the installation process, identify and avoid common mistakes, and ensure both safety and aesthetic quality in their projects.

THE TRIPLE EXPERIENCE ZONES: BUILD FOR FUTURE – BUILD FOR SAFETY – BUILD FOR COMFORT

These three distinct experience zones, each built with unique significance and solutions, will provide participants with a visual understanding and greater inspiration regarding the real-world applications of gypsum solutions.

  • Build For Future: This space harmoniously blends natural elements with modern, flowing design lines. True to its name, "Build For Future," the solutions showcased here inspire endless creativity, focusing on the use of materials that are both highly flexible and environmentally friendly, meeting the demand for green materials to serve sustainable development goals.
  • Build For Safety: Safety is always a top priority in every construction project. "Build For Safety" is an area displaying visual installation models of fire-resistant solutions, from ceilings and drywall systems to applications such as column and beam encasement and ventilation duct systems, catering to hotel, commercial, and industrial factory projects that meet current national standards. Knauf's fire-resistant solutions comply with National Standards, helping to mitigate the risk of human and property damage.
  • Build For Comfort: A safe, comfortable, and convenient living space is key to a beautiful and peaceful life. "Build For Comfort" is a model home area showcasing various living spaces created with gypsum solutions while still meeting standards for sound insulation, sound absorption, moisture resistance, and many other features.

Training Programs

Participants will have their skill levels assessed and will enroll in courses at levels appropriate to their abilities.

Currently, Knauf Academy Vietnam offers the following four training courses:

- Basic Level: Understand and learn the standard installation of simple gypsum ceiling and drywall systems.

- Advanced Level: Understand and learn to install technically demanding solutions like fire-resistant ceiling and drywall systems or curved ceilings and walls.

- Expert Level: Understand and learn to install complex solutions such as sound insulation and absorption systems for conference rooms and recording studios. Also, learn installation solutions for humid areas like bathrooms and kitchens, and for areas with semi-exposed ceilings.

- Master Level: Gaining a deeper understanding of exterior wall system knowledge, including design, materials, manufacturing technology, and installation. Knowing how to implement solutions with high standard requirements that meet numerous technical regulations.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE THE TRAINING?

With the mission of providing a substantial and highly skilled workforce for the construction industry in Vietnam, the training courses at the Knauf Academy are not only aimed at those currently working in gypsum-related construction trades, such as gypsum contractors and installers, but also include:

  • Architects: Those who design gypsum ceiling and drywall blueprints for construction projects.
  • Students: Students in construction, architecture, or other related fields such as interior design who wish to learn more about the applications of gypsum – a lightweight material with high flexibility and aesthetic appeal.
  • Individuals: Those interested in learning about gypsum materials and how to apply them to interior ceilings and drywalls.
