The Fujairah International Airport Expansion, completed in 2023, is a strategic project by the Fujairah government to accommodate increasing passenger and freight traffic. The expansion includes three main entrances, a new cargo gate, and three departure lounges, along with exclusive lounges for business and first-class passengers. The runway and aprons were extended, and the control tower was relocated to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the airport's duty-free area was expanded, and security features were upgraded to meet modern standards. To achieve 120-minute fire resistance and improve acoustic performance, Fire and Moisture Resistance Boards, Regular Boards, and Coreboards were utilized in the construction. These materials ensured that the airport met stringent safety regulations while providing a comfortable and secure environment for travelers.
