Course Description
This is IQP accredited two-day course covering both theory and practical demonstrations of fire rated partition systems.
This course provides attendees with an overview of the key areas that a specifier, installer or site supervisor needs to consider when undertaking the specification, construction and sign off of fire related performances on the internal fit out of a project.
This course with have an in-depth of breakdown of fundamental principle of passive fire resistance in buildings, difference between rating of material and systems.
We will also cover the effect of workmanship on site and the effect of poor installation.
This will be understood further during a practical hands-on demonstration of fire rated partitions including junctions, deflections heads, penetrations, and door details.
Attendance Requirements
Attendees are expected to have a basic knowledge of drywall solutions and construction principals.

Advanced Training - Advanced Ceilings
Course Description
This is IQP accredited two-day course covering both theory and practical demonstrations of fire rated ceiling systems. This course provides attendees with an overview of the key areas that a specifier, installer or site supervisor needs to consider when undertaking the specification, construction and sign off of fire related performances on the internal fit out of a project.
This course with have an in-depth breakdown of fundamental principles of passive fire resistance in buildings, the difference between ratings of materials and systems, and the performances of the Knauf internal drywall ceiling systems.
We will also cover the effect of workmanship on site and the effect of poor installation.
This will be understood further during a practical hands-on demonstration of fire rated ceiling systems including perimeter junctions, bulkheads and access panel installation.

Advanced Training - Cinema Solutions
Course Description
This is IQP accredited two-day course covering both theory and practical demonstrations of Knauf cinema solutions.
This course provides attendees with an overview of the key areas that a specifier, installer or site supervisor needs to consider when undertaking the specification, construction and sign off of cinema systems which have both fire related performances and high acoustical requirements.
This course with have an in-depth breakdown of acoustic performances of the cinema wall types and ceilings available in the Knauf range. We will discuss the major differences from that of general residential partitions to cinema solutions.
The most important performance value when it comes to cinema systems is the acoustical performance. This is generally tested at site so the need to achieve the given values are crucial.
This is where installation of the system becomes very specific, so we also cover the effect of workmanship on site, the effect of poor installation, and why the smallest changes to the system can have the largest of effects to the acoustic value.
This will be understood further during a practical hands-on demonstration of the v-brace system, U-stud system and mass barrier ceiling systems including details, junctions, bulkheads and access panel installation.
