In 2024, Knauf Egypt relocated its headquarters to Cairo Festival City (CFC), creating a modern, future-ready workplace that reflects the company’s global identity and adapts to evolving business needs.

The single-floor headquarters delivers a high-performance environment that boosts collaboration and productivity, supports employee well-being, and showcases Knauf’s expertise in multi-material ceiling and wall solutions.

The Challenge

Transform an outdated, inefficient office into a flexible, high-performing workplace that reflects Knauf’s brand, supports both collaborative and focused work, integrates advanced technologies and robust infrastructure, and delivers a superior employee experience.

The Solution

To achieve these goals, the design team specified MINERAL Sonic Element square and rectangular canopies in white, paired with HERADESIGN® Baffle Element Arc in light blue, creating a striking design statement that reflected Knauf’s innovative identity.  By absorbing sound on both sides, the multi-material open-ceiling solutions help reduce reverberation time and foster a calmer, more comfortable environment.

To temper noise and activity in high-traffic areas, the Corridor 400 free-span, demountable gypsum ceiling improved speech privacy between adjacent spaces.  HERADESIGN® Superfine ceilings in light blue and AMF THERMATEX® Alpha HD Class A-rated acoustic ceilings in white completed the palette.

The workspace strategy balanced an open-plan floorplate with a spectrum of settings, including meeting rooms, executive offices, private focus booths, collaborative hubs, a spacious cafeteria, and a Knauf showroom - giving teams choice and control over how they work.

Branding throughout anchors the space in Knauf’s core values, with meeting rooms named after the company’s four strategic pillars to visually reinforce Knauf’s culture and identity.
