QHC Architects & Engineers needed an acoustic solution that delivered effective performance across a variety of spaces, enhancing speech clarity in classrooms while reducing noise in common areas.
At the same time, the design brief called for a customised yet vibrant aesthetic that would integrate seamlessly with the existing school interior.
All of this had to be achieved within tight project time constraints, requiring efficient on-site adaptation without delaying installation or compromising the overall design intent.
A variety of gypsum ceiling and wall panels in different shapes and sizes showcased the endless design possibilities of the DANOLINE range.
Designpanel with Quadril perforation was specified for the reception and other large common areas. In the corridors, Designpanel cut into random circular patterns was installed alongside plain gypsum ceilings.
The classrooms were fitted with 600x600 Belgravia demountable acoustic ceilings featuring both Micro and Unity 8/15/20 perforations, while 600x1200mm screw-fixed Contrapanel acoustic ceiling and wall panels were installed in the auditorium.
Knauf Danoline proved to be an effective solution, allowing the contractor to carry out the required customisation directly on site while avoiding the additional cost and lead time associated with factory modifications.
