At Knauf Insulation, we have developed an innovative manufacturing process called DriTherm® Technology, designed to provide exceptional water-repellent performance and protect each fibre throughout glasswool insulation.

By integrating water-repellent functionality directly into each fibre, DriTherm® Technology prevents water absorption while maintaining thermal efficiency. This ensures long-term durability and reliability even when exposed to high-moisture environments before, during, and after installation, making it an ideal solution for creating better, energy-efficient indoor spaces.

Proven Performance in high-moisture Environments

Conventional glasswool can absorb moisture, which reduces thermal efficiency and leads to long-term issues. DriTherm® Technology prevents this by repelling both liquid water and vapour, allowing the insulation to preserve its performance over time.

Manufacturing Process

Unlike surface-coating methods, DriTherm® Technology is applied during production to become an integral part of each fibre, ensuring consistent repellence throughout the product - before, during, and after installation. How it works:
