At Knauf Insulation, we’re continuously working to reduce the environmental impact of our products and operations, to bring you products that are lower in embodied carbon. Using low-carbon insulation helps to reduce the whole-life footprint for your buildings.

Sustainable ingredients and manufacturing

Glasswool has the lowest embodied carbon of any mainstream insulation material, and our products are even lower – containing just one tenth of the embodied carbon of generic glasswool.

They’re made using up to 80% recycled glass, trapped air (nature’s best insulant), and our plant-based, low-carbon binder ECOSE®.
Our sustainable insulation is compression packed, and we prioritise sea freight, to reduce road miles when delivering our products.
As a longstanding sustainability leader, we constantly push the boundaries of glasswool technology. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is one of the most efficient and sustainable insulation plants in the Asia-Pacific region.
