High GH Standard Partitions
Overview
These are separating partitions made from Knauf plasterboard panels screwed onto a galvanized steel frame. The frame consists of independent double rails and studs for each side, connected by full-height plasterboard strips of the same type as the facings. The addition of a mineral fiber insulation batt is optional. These partitions can be used to create walls between 5 and 10 meters in height.
Applications
- New construction or renovation projects.
- Various premises: Public access buildings (ERP), performance halls, cinemas, theaters, shopping centers, hotels, industrial and commercial premises, schools, and more.
- Interior distribution and separation of spaces.
Fire Performance and Protection
Each EI (fire resistance) level corresponds to a specific plasterboard facing configuration:
- EI 30: 2 KS13 boards per facing
- EI 60: 1 KS13 board + 1 KHD18 board per facing
- EI 90: 1 KF13 board + 1 KHD18 board per facing
- EI 120: 2 KHD18 boards per facing
The top of the partition must be fixed to a support with at least the same fire performance as the partition itself.
Installation
These partition systems are covered by DTA 9/09-885.
It's important to consult us for specific installation guidelines, especially concerning:
- The plasterboard head section and the expansion joint at the top of the partition with a 90 mm flanged rail.
- The treatment of control and expansion joints.
