Fire safety

Fire safety is paramount in any home, to protect both occupants and the structure of the building.

All of Knauf Insulation's mineral wool slab and roll products have the highest Euroclass A1 (non-combustible) or A2 (limited combustibility) reaction to fire classifications according to EN 13501-1, for greater peace-of-mind.

Our specialist fire safety range of plasterboard and ceiling products can be integrated into specific partition and ceiling systems to meet a variety of fire performance requirements.

Healthier environments

Today’s specifications must consider the health impacts of construction products on building occupants.

Knauf’s products contain very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). And all our glass mineral wool insulation products are manufactured with our unique plant-based binder ECOSE® that is low-VOC and low-carbon.

Our insulation products have been awarded the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification, they contain no added formaldehyde and they are DECLARE ‘Red List Free’.

The Knauf gypsum acoustic ceiling range contains activated charcoal as standard built into the gypsum core. Activated charcoal is widely known to adsorb some of the harmful VOCs that are emitted by everyday building materials, furniture, and cleaning products.
