Completed in 2019, the Great Mosque of Algiers represents a major architectural challenge, successfully met by Knauf Algeria. To fulfill the demands of this iconic project, innovative solutions were employed. The tulip-shaped pillars, constructed with Aquapanel and plasterboards, demonstrate mastery in handling complex forms. In the conference hall and library, advanced acoustic solutions, such as Delta panels and Danoline suspended ceilings, ensure exceptional sound comfort. Furthermore, Danoline's amfipanel was installed in the cinema, contributing to high-quality acoustics. This project reflects Knauf Algeria's commitment to combining aesthetics, innovation, and respect for architectural heritage.
SHERATON HOTEL ANNABA
Opened in 2018, the Sheraton Hotel in Annaba embodies the elegance and refinement of luxury hospitality, while showcasing Knauf Algeria's expertise. This project presented numerous architectural challenges, particularly the creation of acoustic partitions and linings designed to ensure optimal sound comfort throughout the entire establishment. The curved dome, constructed with plasterboard, along with the sophisticated recessed ceilings featuring hidden lighting, demonstrate our ability to embrace complex designs while combining aesthetics with functionality.
HOUARI BOUMEDIENE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Knauf Algeria implemented solutions tailored to this large-scale project, including high-performance partitions and ceilings that combine safety, durability, and aesthetics. These systems helped optimize the acoustics of the spaces while ensuring effective insulation, which is essential in a high-traffic environment. By integrating innovative materials suited to the demands of an international airport, Knauf Algeria contributed to creating a functional, comfortable, and visually harmonious space that meets global standards.
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER
The International Convention Center (CIC) in Algiers is a flagship project that perfectly showcases Knauf Algeria's expertise in prestigious event infrastructure. To meet the technical and aesthetic demands of this space, we integrated advanced solutions, including mineral fiber ceilings and Aquapanel boards, ensuring both durability and elegance. Fire-rated boards were also utilized to guarantee optimal safety. Every material was carefully selected to conform to the architecture's complex forms, thereby combining performance, safety, and refined design in a venue destined to host major events.
HYATT REGENCY ALGIERS HOTEL
Opened in 2019, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Algiers perfectly reflects Knauf Algeria's expertise in the luxury hospitality sector. This project presented significant architectural challenges, notably the integration of Aquapanel boards in the indoor pool and spa. Here, curved shapes were skillfully created to combine durability with elegance. In the restaurant, Delta Cleaneo boards were chosen not only for their air-purifying capabilities but also for their acoustic properties, ensuring optimal sound comfort. Fire-rated boards also guarantee safety in sensitive areas.
THE HIGHER SCHOOL OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING (ESHRA)
The Higher School of Hotel Management and Catering (ESHRA) in Algiers is an architectural challenge brilliantly met by Knauf Algeria. Acoustic baffles made from plasterboard were installed in the hall, cafeteria, and conference room, ensuring optimal sound comfort in these key living and learning spaces. The partitions, linings, and suspended ceilings provide both effective insulation and visual harmony.
On the exterior, the Aquapanel system was chosen for its ability to withstand the particularly demanding conditions of a marine or waterfront environment. This ensures durable protection against harsh weather without compromising the building's aesthetics.
NELSON MANDELA STADIUM ALGIERS
The Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers stands as a symbol of modernity and performance, where Knauf Algeria successfully tackled major architectural challenges to deliver functional and aesthetically remarkable spaces.
In the conference hall, the installation of Heradesign wood wool panels ensures optimal acoustics, meeting the demands of large-scale events. Demountable acoustic ceilings were integrated to facilitate maintenance while guaranteeing exceptional sound comfort. Finally, fixed suspended ceilings were carefully designed to follow the stadium's architectural lines, creating harmony between design and functionality.
AZ GRAND ORAN HOTEL
The AZ Grand Oran Hotel is a prestigious achievement that showcases Knauf Algeria's expertise in the luxury hotel sector. The lobby and conference hall are beautifully adorned with suspended ceilings featuring recessed designs and integrated lighting, creating an elegant and modern ambiance. For the exterior and saunas, Aquapanel ensures optimal moisture resistance and exceptional durability. In the restaurant, random pattern acoustic panels were installed to provide pleasant and balanced acoustics. The indoor pool and SPA area elegantly combine Heradesign and Aquapanel panels, blending acoustic performance with contemporary aesthetics. This project highlights Knauf Algeria's ability to reconcile technical requirements, design, and comfort.
PARK MALL / HOTEL SETIF
The Park Mall Hotel & Conference Center stands out with its modern architecture and spaces designed to combine aesthetics and functionality. Knauf Algeria met technical challenges to ensure optimal acoustic comfort. Delta Cleaneo boards were integrated into the dining hall, as well as in the conference areas and mall corridors. These boards play a dual role by purifying the air while providing effective acoustic management, creating a pleasant and harmonious environment for visitors.
MILOUD HADEFI STADIUM ORAN
The Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran exemplifies Knauf Algeria's commitment to tackling technical challenges while combining modernity and performance. In the VIP area, demountable mineral fiber ceilings ensure acoustic comfort and easy maintenance. The hall, equipped with Cleaneo boards, improves air quality, while the changing rooms incorporate Aquapanel panels, guaranteeing resistance to humidity. The swimming pool area benefits from Aquatec technology for enhanced durability, and the conference hall features Heraklith panels, blending natural aesthetics with sound absorption.
EL MENZAH RESIDENCE ORAN
The El Menzah Residence in Oran combines elegance and functionality, offering residents a refined living environment. Acoustic comfort is ensured thanks to drywalls, which reduce noise pollution and guarantee tranquility within the spaces.
In addition to its technical performance, this project stands out with its meticulous interior decoration and clean design, creating a visual harmony that perfectly aligns with the demands of contemporary residences.
