ALEXANDER KNAUF, SPEAKER OF THE GENERAL PARTNERS

Alexander Knauf has been acting as the speaker of the General Partners of the Knauf Group since January 2022. He is responsible for the Knauf Insulation division and the United States Gypsum Corporation (USG), as well as for the global functions Finance, IT, Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, Audit, and Corporate Communications. Alexander Knauf joined the Knauf Group in 2004, taking over the group management of the Northern Europe region. In 2012, he assumed responsibility for Central Europe. In February 2013, he was appointed to the position of General Partner of the Knauf Group. After obtaining his master’s degree, Alexander Knauf worked as a consultant for Roland Berger GmbH. He then moved to Chicago to work for the United States Gypsum Corporation.

JÖRG KAMPMEYER, GENERAL PARTNER

Jörg Kampmeyer joined Knauf in January 2020 as General Partner of the Knauf Group. He is responsible for the Knauf Ceiling Solutions division as well as for the Gypsum regions of Central Europe, Western Europe, Northern Europe, South America, Middle East, Africa, and India. In addition, he leads the global functions of Marketing and Digitalization and the Competence Centers for joint compounds and metal. After graduating with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Industrial Engineering, he started his career as a management consultant with Roland Berger GmbH and Boston Consulting Group. In 2002, he joined Hilti, where he held various executive positions in corporate development, marketing and general management. In 2011, he was appointed to the Executive Board of the Hilti Group.

DR. UWE KNOTZER, GENERAL PARTNER

Dr. Uwe Knotzer joined the Knauf Group in June 2021 as General Partner. He is responsible for the Knauf Industries division, the gypsum regions of Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific, as well as the Knauf PFT subsidiary. Furthermore, he oversees the global functions of Gypsum Research & Development, Gypsum Technology, Gypsum Engineering, Gypsum Raw Materials, Procurement, and HSE (Health Safety Environment). After graduating as a Dipl-Ing. of Process Engineering from the Graz University of Technology, Dr. Knotzer started his professional career as a university assistant at the Chair of Paper, Pulp, and Fiber Technology, where he also completed his doctorate. In 2002, Dr. Knotzer started with Voith Paper, where he held various leading positions, until he became a Member of the Management Board at Voith Paper and the President of Business Line Products and Services in 2012. From 2015 onward, he was a Member of the Group Executive Board at the Voith Group and Chairman of the Management Board at Voith Turbo.
