Glasswool has the lowest embodied carbon of any mainstream insulation material, and our products are even lower – containing just one tenth of the embodied carbon of generic glasswool. Made with recycled glass, trapped air and ECOSE®, our unique plant-based binder, our products ‘repay’ the carbon used in their manufacture in as little as 95 days.

We’re committed to going even further, with ambitious Group-wide sustainability targets to minimise the impact of our operations – on carbon emissions and beyond. We report on the environmental impact of our products and operations regularly, to rigorous independent standards and have released product specific EPDs to provide customers with objective and independent information about our products.

Glasswool is the world’s favourite insulation material, and we are the world leader in glasswool. Our products are based on German engineering, but shaped by 45 years of manufacturing expertise from our 28 factories worldwide, including our cutting-edge regional facility in Johor, Malaysia.

Opened in 2021, it’s the most advanced glasswool manufacturing facility in Asia Pacific. We use it to make innovative products tailored to the specific needs of our customers in each country, which we then ship to them via an extremely efficient distribution operation.
