Description & Details
Knauf SpanShield is a cost-effective alternative to StandardShield, having all the same benefits. SpanShield is an internal wall and ceiling lining suitable for residential and commercial applications. It is usually installed over a timber or steel frame and can also be installed over a masonry wall. Knauf Spanshield is manufactured in accordance with ASTM C1396.

- Walls and ceilings of residential and commercial buildings.
- Sag-resistant: improved with sag resistant additives.made from a gypsum core sandwiched between two layers of heavy-duty recycled paper for enhanced strength and durability.
- Designed for lightweight installation: requires fewerframes than 9 mm standard gypsum boards and is lighterthan 12 mm boards for faster installation and less laborcosts
- Non-combustible & fire resistant: complies with astm e1360 and has class a surface burning characteristics per astm e84
- Recessed edges reduced unsightly hairline cracks with the use of knauf jointing compound and paper tape
Non fire-rated interior ceiling and drywall applications
Recommended as interior face layer for use over old ceiling and wall surfaces
