Knauf Insulation’s products contain very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). All our glass mineral wool insulation products are manufactured with our unique plant-based binder ECOSE® that is low-VOC and low-carbon.

Ours were the first insulation products to be awarded the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification, they contain no added formaldehyde and are DECLARE ‘Red List Free’.

The Knauf gypsum acoustic ceiling range contains activated charcoal as standard built into the gypsum core. Activated charcoal is widely known** to adsorb some of the harmful VOCs that are emitted by everyday building materials, furniture, and cleaning products.
