Hear and see the impact of Belgravia acoustic ceilings in education spaces - from corridors to class rooms.
Safa British School required a high level of acoustic comfort to support concentration, clear communication and effective learning. The challenge was to specify an acoustic ceiling that would meet the performance requirements while also contributing to a healthy indoor environment.
The design team wanted to move away from a standard white ceiling and avoid conventional round or square perforation patterns, aiming instead for a ceiling design that felt more distinctive and visually unique.
The acoustic requirements were achieved using Belgravia Unity 8/15/20 gypsum ceiling panels, delivering good sound absorption with a clean, contemporary look. The Unity perforation pattern runs to the tile edge, while its random perforations adds a distinctive design character. Installed in a staggered layout, the ceiling brought rhythm and visual interest to the classrooms, corridors and reception area.
Made from up to 40% recycled gypsum and fully recyclable, the ceiling also supports a healthy indoor climate and the project’s aim of creating a better learning environment.
