At Knauf, we are deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. While we’ve made meaningful progress in some areas, we acknowledge there is still work to be done to close the gender pay gap. This gap reflects the current distribution of men and women across various levels of our predominantly male workforce. Achieving balanced representation at all levels remains a key priority for us.
Our annual report is a critical tool in understanding and addressing the root causes of the gender pay gap. It challenges us to reflect on our practices and holds us accountable for driving change. We continuously evaluate our recruitment processes, compensation structures, and people strategies to create a workplace that is truly inclusive and equitable.
As People Director, I’m proud of the steps we’ve taken to ensure fairness. Regular pay audits are conducted to maintain equity, and we’ve standardised pay and bonus eligibility across all roles—an important milestone in promoting fairness, transparency, and consistency at Knauf. Initiatives like WinK (Women in Knauf) and partnerships with industry groups such as the Construction Inclusion Coalition (CIC) further support our efforts. We also invest in talent development, with 80% of our leadership roles filled through internal promotions, and we actively recruit apprentices year on year to grow our future workforce. We value you, our talent, and to support your well-being, we offer enhanced maternity and paternity leave, flexible working policies, and a wide range of additional benefits.
Achieving gender pay parity remains a significant challenge in our industry, but we are encouraged by the progress we’re seeing at Knauf. More women are advancing into higher pay bands and specialist roles, including breaking into traditionally male-dominated fields such as engineering and production. This progress inspires us to continue building a workplace where everyone can thrive.
Best Regards,
