Knauf’s Commitment to Building Safety - The Building Safety Forum

Described as the biggest improvement to building safety in nearly 40 years, the Building Safety Act (BSA) has redefined the construction industry.

By introducing clear accountability for construction services and products, the Act places obligations on the entire sector to prioritise safety or face the serious consequences.

At Knauf, we are committed to leading the way for the industry, as customers adapt to these changes. Our focus remains on maintaining robust, transparent data and providing hands-on guidance to ensure compliance and technical excellence.

As part of this commitment, we are pleased to support The Building Safety Forum, taking place on Tuesday 24th June, at the InstallerSHOW at the NEC, Birmingham.

This event will bring together industry leaders to discuss the critical implications of the Building Safety Act and share insights on navigating the new regulatory landscape.

The Importance of Product Information and CCPI in light of the BSA

The panel chaired by Amanda Long, Chief Executive of the CPI, will feature Mandeep Bansal, Knauf UK & Ireland’s Technical Advocacy Director, alongside Geoffrey Brown, Assistant Director, Construction Products at OPSS, and Gary Neal, Head of Fire at Skanska.

With over 20 years experience in the construction industry, Mandeep has been instrumental in driving technical competency and compliance across Knauf. His expertise in gypsum systems, and stakeholder collaboration positions him as a trusted voice in the industry.

Mandeep will discuss the importance of accurate and transparent product information, and the role of the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) within manufacturing for the construction industry.
