Our jointing range at Knauf, which includes powdered jointing compounds, ready-mixed compounds, and tapes and beads, is designed to deliver the best possible results when bedding tapes and beads or finishing joints.
Whether hand or machine applied, our jointing ranges have been developed to comply with BS EN 13963:2014, ensuring optimal results every time. After application, they provide a smooth finish that is easy to sand.
Premium Powdered Jointing
Our Premium Powdered Joint Compounds are lump-free and easy to mix, giving a soft yet stable consistency that makes them a highly popular choice among applicators. This high-quality formulation offers outstanding performance along with easy trowelling and low-dust sanding. Our range includes Knauf Joint Filler Premium, Knauf Joint Cement Premium, and Knauf Fill and Finish Premium 30/60.
Knauf Ready-Mixed Jointing
Our ready-mixed jointing compounds offer a low-shrinkage, easy-to-sand alternative to traditional jointing compounds. They require no water and take only eight minutes of prep time. The range features two types of 'Fill and Finish' ready-mixed products: Fill and Finish (“Blue Top”) and Fill and Finish Light (“Green Top”). Both can be applied by machine or by hand. The lighter version provides lesser density, offering extra coverage from the same tub size, while the medium-density Fill and Finish provides a distinctive workability and dexterity. Both products ensure a superior quality finish, dry within 12-24 hours, and have an industry-leading shelf life of 12 months. They produce less dust compared to powdered products and may reduce waste management costs, as any unused product can be put kept in the bucket with the lid closed, ready for the next project.
Tapes and Beads
Our jointing tapes range includes:
- Knauf Paper Joint tape: A white paper tape for reinforcing joints by hand or machine. Recommended for ceilings to create strong joints.
- Knauf Fibreglass Joint tape: This new product is used for reinforcing joints with all jointing products. It allows better absorption of the joint compound, reducing the chance of cracking and enabling quicker drying times for air-drying compounds.
- Knauf Corner Flex tape: A fibre composite tape that provides protection to external corners of drylined partitions.
- Knauf Flexible Metal tape: Allows the creation of corners at any angle, including on irregularly shaped structures.
Our jointing beads range includes:
- Paper Faced Corner beads: These provide an easy way to produce sturdy, cost-effective corners that withstand normal building wear and tear.
- Galvanised Steel beads: Offer additional protection for plasterboard edges in drywall applications.
When our jointing range is applied to Knauf Plasterboards as part of a full Knauf system, customers benefit from the Knauf full system performance warranty.
