Nearly 25% of the UK's greenhouse gas emissions comes from the built environment*. If we are to meet our net-zero targets and increase climate resiliance, then it is crucial we decarbonise the UK's real estate. That is why we remain committed to sourcing responsible solutions to reduce our industry's impact on the environment.
We are thrilled to be able to sponsor and showcase our sustainable products at the Retrofit 24 exhibition, currently taking place at The Building Centre. Retrofitting is a vital part of the conversation when it comes to building a more sustainable future, as around 80% of the buildings that will be here in 2050 already exist**
The Retrofit 24 exhibition demonstrates the products and methods that are available to us in improving the energy efficiency of buildings. The exhibits and talks explore a number of industry topics such as why collaboration is vital, the role of data and the practicalities of retrofitting historic buildings. It has been curated by the Building Centre, whose mission is ‘to inspire, connection and empower people to improve the quality of our built environment.’
Our Steel Frame System has been used as a key part of the structure within the exhibition, alongside our acoustic ceiling range which is also featured. The range offers retrofit projects impressive acoustic performance and design flexibility, as well as a more circular option due to its recyclability, and its durability and long lifespan.
