Application Overview

In an internal partition wall, insulation is required for acoustic performance to provide sound absorption to contribute to reduction of noise between rooms.

In this application, the acoustic mineral wool insulation is friction fitted between metal or timber studs and finished with plasterboard on either side. Internal walls can incorporate different types of plasterboard, as well as variations in the type or orientation of studwork.
